Jane Eyre in Vancouver(PART 2 OF 3)
Cambie Street scene
Queen Elizabeth Park
These days, I've never strolled along Cambie Street. If I had viewed the morning show, I would have been able to take a walk in the nearby park.
Well, if you like, you can jog with me along the seawall.
That would be nice! I'd love to.
Talking about the Jane Eyre boom, you're saying that Vancouverites got to know about the "Jane Eyre" film when they watched the movie trailer or web pages, aren't you?
Oh, yeah, that's right. That's why there are so many people waiting for the "Jane Eyre" DVD.
■The Actual Page of "Jane Eyre" DVD
Twenty people are wating for the same DVD. Amazing!... Incredible! I remember, there were only three people in the waiting list the other day.
Oh, yes, there were. I'll show you the list.
I was at Position 3, that is, I was the third person in the waiting list. At that time, only three people were waiting, including myself as shown below:
I see. And a month later, 17 people were added to the waiting list, weren't they?
That's right. I'll show it again...
I see your comment...and somebody else jotted down another comment.
Yes, Janice wrote it.
Do you know her?
No, unfortunately I don't. She has viewed quite a few DVDs.
How do you know?
I looked into her DVD shelf. I'll show it for you, Diane.
■"Janice21383's actual page"
So, this particular "Jane Eyre" DVD is in a big demand, isn't it?
Yes,...looks like it. Besides, another viewer recommended it.
Oh, really? How did you find it out?
I was looking around in the library catalogue, and came across the following DVD.
■The Actual Page of
the above "Jane Eyre" DVD
You see, Diane? This person was really moved by the 1983 adaptation of "Jane Eyre".
How do you know?
...'cause this person hasn't viewed as many DVDs as Janice has.
■The Actual Page of Shaikh11's Shelf
Yet, this person wrote a long comment. If this viewer hadn't been moved by this particular DVD, she or he wouldn't have jotted down such a long comment.
I see. And, Kato, have you viewed the 1983 adaptation DVD of "Jane Eyre"?
Oh, yeah, I have. I picked it up on May 25.
I've also reserved one of "Jane Eyre" fictions.
So, how did you like the DVD?
Oh,... quite impressive! It was broadcast by BBC in 1983. There are 11 episodes, one of which is about 30-minute long.
It will take 330 minutes for you to view all the episodes, won't it?
That's right. Five hours and 30 minutes! No wonder it is the truest to the fiction.
Have you already viewed all the episodes, Kato?
No, not all of them, but Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, and Episode 8 through Episode 11.
Episode 4 through 7 are missing. Why is that?
I viewed the flip side of the DVD first by mistake. I'll see Episode 4 through 7 tomorrow.
Tell me, Kato. What was the most interesting part?
